CIS 464 Enterprise Systems
CIS 464. ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS (3). Provides an understanding of the managerial/technical issues in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise systems. Demonstrates the integration of information and business processes across functional areas into a unified system. Hands on experience with SAP ERP software. Prerequisite(s): CIS 458.
This course is a ‘Blended’ course in which you will have asynchronous, online instruction as well as synchronous instruction via game simulations. You will have two-hour web conferences during Weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 normally on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Please plan accordingly.
CIS 458 Business Process Management
This course provides students with an understanding of the theoretic and practical issues related to the application of enterprise systems within organizations. The primary focus of this course is to demonstrate how enterprise systems integrate information and organizational processes across functional areas with a unified system comprised of a single database and shared reporting tools. Students will participate in an ERP Simulation game to “learn-by-doing” the concepts of ERP systems. The course is dynamic and uses cutting-edge software from the largest ERP company in the world, SAP.
